Syllabus topics include: PR as a management function; theoretical approaches; reputation management; corporate social responsibility and stakeholder theory; issues and crisis management; planning process; prioritising and targeting publics.

The course will be examined by means of three assessments:
Critical Reasoning Test – a test taken by candidates at home over a period of three weeks.
5,000 word assignment – campaign strategy based on a given case study
6,000 word professional project on a topic to be agreed with tutor
It is necessary to pass all three assessments in order to gain the award of CIPR Diploma. There will be two opportunities to retake any failed assessments. |
